Sway Tilting Three-wheel e-scooter Prototype
Sway Motorsports has unveiled its a prototype of its tilting three-wheel electric scooter. Fyi, this three-wheel e-scooter is the spare time project of IDEO toy-designer and Rhode Island School of Design alumnus, Joe Wilcox.
The prototype Sway’s three-wheeler electric scooter has LED headlights, and is powered by a 60-V, 20-Ah lithium iron phosphate battery with a a range of about 10 miles (16 km). But for the production model, the company want to add a 60-Ah pack for a range in the order of 30 miles. The wheels are driven by a 3500 W hub motor in the Sway’s solitary rear wheel, which make the electric scooter can run at the speed of 64 km/h.
Dimension of this prototype of Sway’s tilting three-wheel electric scooter are 52 x 35 x 40 inches, while its three wheels are 10 inches in diameter. This 230-lb (104-kg) scooter looks awesome!
