Fat bikes are gaining popularity for cyclists seeking a bike for snow and sand riding. The fat bike features an exceptional traction and can accommodate super-size tires up to 5-inch wide, making it ideal to be riden on the beach, snow or even on the street. That is why there’re some bicycle manufacturers have recently started making Fat bikes, including California-based Pedego.
Pedego has recently unveiled its new fat bike called the Trail Tracker. The Trail Tracker is not just a fat-wheeled bicycle, but it is an electric fat bike mountain bike boasting a 600-watt high-torque brushless geared hub motor powered by a 48-volt 10Ah lithium-ion battery in a removable pack. The Trail Tracker features handlebar-mounted throttle, and has top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h).
Pedego’s Trail Tracker features a hydro-formed aluminum frame that is available in five different colors: Neon, Red, Matte Black, Camo, and Black with lime green rims. This electric fat bike sits on 26 x 4-inch Innova Spider clincher tires, and comes equipped with front and rear Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes, along with a rustproof chain.
The Pedego’s Trail Tracker electric fat bike is available for $2,975.
