Elon Musk, the co-founder of PayPal, Tesla Motors and SpaceX, has announced his plans for a new superfast vehicle that could transport people from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 30 minutes, which mean it would be twice as fast as a plane and three to four times faster than a bullet train! This new superfast vehicle is a train, and it is called the Hyperloop. Wow, i couldn’t imagine, is that possible?

Elon Musk says:

This system I have in mind, how would you like something that can never crash, is immune to weather, it goes 3 or 4 times faster than the bullet train… it goes an average speed of twice what an aircraft would do. You would go from downtown LA to downtown San Francisco in under 30 minutes. It would cost you much less than an air ticket than any other mode of transport. I think we could actually make it self-powering if you put solar panels on it, you generate more power than you would consume in the system. There’s a way to store the power so it would run 24/7 without using batteries. Yes, this is possible, absolutely.

Oh, ok. I can’t wait to see it in production form.

For right now, Los Angeles to San Francisco takes six hours by car and an hour by plane. Even better, the ‘Hyperloop’ supertrain would be powered by solar panels.

This high speed train was created by CSR Corporation which is based in Qingdao in eastern Shandong province. Also it has been tested by the Chinese government, this prototype bullet train capable of hitting 310 miles per hour. However, Chinese trains will not necessarily run at such high speeds as that demonstrated in the newly tested high speed train. “We aim to ensure the safety of train operations.” Said The CSR chair Zhao Xiaogang told the Beijing Morning News.
