In 2007, Sueshiro SANO has started building a mahogany bicycle using his shipbuilding technics. Sueshiro SANO is a well-known Japanese wooden ship builder. He was born as third son of the SANO SHIPYARD which was established more than 200 years ago and has been lasting for eight generations.

This ninth-generation shipwright produced his first bike constructed entirely of mahogany, including frame, fork, seat, seat post, handlebars/stem combination and even rims. He intends to accomplish a wooden road bike lighter than that using a carbon frame, and to improve his shipbuilding technics.

His latest project is called the Mahogany Mini Wheel Bike (pictured). It has has been completed on July 30, 2011. The weight of Mahogany Mini Wheel Bike is below 7.5 kg (without pedals). He has done so many beautiful and gorgeous boats, bicycles and even furnitures with his high skill. Check it out, here at Sanomagic.
