This bicycle was designed by London-based architect Andy Martin. What makes it special is the bike was crafted completely from beech wood, which has been steamed and bent, using Thonet’s steam bending process was originally developed in the 1930s to make chairs.

According to the designer, the body’s contours were cut and adjusted using a CNC machine, then reinforced with a collection of connectors and spring rods made by the designer.

The Thonet Bike comes with elegant design within its retro looks, thanks to its Thonet‘s classic bentwood curves. This bent-beech-wood bike is a fixed whee, has no brakes and features several interchangeable gear ratios. Its seat is also made of beech wood, while the wheels are carbon fibre HED H3′s.

If you’re interested in, go ahead, the bike will be available in limited edition and cost £43,000.
