This wooden bike is called the Interceptor. It was created by Masterworks Wood & Design. The frame of the bike was made from black walnut and mahogany multiplywood, with maple dowels. Some wood selected from local urban forests, and when possible, wood is selected from the inventory at The Green Sawmill in San Mateo, Ca.
The Interceptor adopts pirate theme, featuring a center frame shield carved with skull and Cross Sabers and skull gear shift knob. A piece of art, each bike has beautiful designs and is individually designedand handmade by Master Wood worker Bill Hollowayof Masterworks in San Jose Ca.
The Interceptor wooden bike features black front and back sprockets, spokes, rim, crankset, pedals and chain; chrome hubs; three Speed Nexus Inner hub/Coaster Breaks; coaster brakes; sealed bearing headset and bottom bracket, Shimano; Kenda Flame 3.0 tires; and Hand-rubbed Penofin Verde Rosewood Oil.
