The RoundTail Revolution

The Tortola RoundTail frame has been designed by Lou Tortola, an inventor and entrepreneur from Windsor, Canada. This frame ($2,000) dramatically increases comfort, it “provides more than 10 times the vertical compliance of a standard double-diamond frame, and the ring design absorbs 60 times more road vibrations.” which helps reduce stress and fatigue to the riders spine.

When the bike hits a bump, the Tortola RoundTail frame transfers the shocks into two hollow steel circles, which replace the conventional twin triangles. It eliminates the vertical and direct surface areas of the seat tube and rear stays. The design is not only beautiful, but also functional.
