V-Tent Solar-panel Parking System, Covers and Charges Your Electric Car
This creative and innovative idea was born from industrial designer Hakan Gürsu. Called the V-tent, an eco-friendly solar-panel parking system that does not only charges your electric car, but also protects it from environmental effects simultaneously while parking under the sunny day.
The V-Tent solar-panel parking system can be installed on both personal and public parking areas. It has a simple interface with charging time information, and for public parking, there’s also payment options built in. Users are also able to choose parking periods, will be able check the status of the charge remotely via a smartphone app.
The V-Tent is currently a concept, but we really hope it will go into production. Hakan Gürsu’s V-Tent concept has been honored with the 2012 Green Dot Award.
